This printer has been carefu lly des igned t o provide ma ny years of safe, reliable p erformanc e. As with all electrical
equipment, there ar e a f ew basic precautions you should ta ke t o avoid hurt ing yourself or dama ging the p rint er:
• C ar efully rea d the ins talla tion and operat ing instruc tions provided with you r print er.
• Read and f ollow all warning instruc tion labels on the print er.
• Place the printer on a flat, firm, solid surface.
• T o prot ect your print er f rom overheati ng, make s ure all openings on the printer are not bloc ked.
• Do not pl ace the p rint er on or near a heat source.
• Do not use your print er near water, or spill liquid into it.
• Be cer tain t hat your power source matches the ra ti ng listed on you r print er. I f you are u nsure, c heck with your deal er or
wit h your local power c omp any.
• Do not place the p ower c ord where it will be wa lked on. I f the p ower c ord becomes dama ged or f ra yed rep lace it
imm e diately.
• Do not insert a nything into the vent ilati on slots or openings on the printer.
• Only qualified, tr ained ser vic e t echnic ians should attempt to repa ir your print er.
