4.6.2 Label Alignment = AUTO
In this mode, the p rinter automa tic ally calculates the ‘AL I GN L EN GTH’ thus eliminating the need to physic ally measure
the label. This mode is u sually preferred in applic ations that require frequent media c hanges t o labels of dif f erent lengt hs.
To perform an Auto Alignment, in Normal Mode p ress and hold the
FEED
button (about 4 seconds) . The printer will f eed
la bels to c alcul ate the label length. F ollowing t he calcul ation, the p rinter will s ave the measurement and a lign to the t op of
form p ositi on. Auto Alignment c an r es ult in was ted labels during the measurement p roces s ( the longer the label length the
greater the was te).
Auto Alignment with the Present Sensor enabled:
If the p rinter is equ ipp ed with the P resent Sensor option and that fea ture is enabled, while t he label length is c alcul ated t he
printer will p ause and illu mina te the
STOP
light after eac h movement. The opera tor mus t press the
PAU SE
button for the
a lignment to c ontinue. This allows the op erat or to remove any labels as required; however, labels should not be forcib ly
removed s inc e they may not actu ally be p osi tioned f or r emoval, but at an interi m positi on required for measu rement.
4.6.3 Label Alignment = NO
When Label Alignment is not enabled (i.e., set to N O) , print ing begins at the curr ent label p ositi on without alignment,
a ssuming the label is at the s tar t of print position. Additionally, if the la bel length is short, la bels bet ween the printhead and
t he media sens or may b e u nused.
