GPIO Port Descri ption
The p rinter can easily b e p rogrammed t o interface with most applic ator devices. T he G PIO f unc tions are ena b led and
conf igured us ing the menu system of t he print er ( see S ection 5.1.4) . T hes e p arameters are s tored in non-vola tile memory
and saved for subsequent power-ups.
When the GPI O is ena bled, the p rinter will not print a la bel unles s the S tar t of Pr int signal is act ive. When a label is ready
t o p rint and the p rinter is waiting for the Star t of Pr int signal the p rinter will dis play “ W AITIN G FOR SIG N AL ” .
GPIO Port Configuration
The connection to the G PIO si gnals is acces sed via the opt ion port c onnector on t he front of the printer or t he J 6 c onnector
on t he M ain P CB . Requires firmware version 5.07 or greater. The op tion port c onnector is an 8- pin Molex Mic rofit 3.0
P/N 44300-800. The J6 connector is an AMP connector P /N 640456-8. Ea ch GPIO pin’s function is detailed in the table
below:
