3.0 Introduction
This c hapter ex plains how to c onnect your print er, loa d media ( and r i bb on, if equi pp ed f or thermal tra nsf er).
3.1 Connecting the Printer
3.1.1 Power Connection
 Note: When connecting the AC Power Cord or interface cables to the printer, ensure the Power On/Off Switch is in the ‘Off’
position.
1. Place the p rinter on a firm, level surfac e.
2. Ensure that t he Power S witch on the Printer is in the ‘Off’ position.
3. Connec t the AC Power C ord t o the receptacle on t he back of the Print er, and th en p lug the AC Power Cord into a
properly grounded outlet. (The power supply automatically detects and then adjusts to the applied line voltage; see
S ection 8.0 f or t he accepta ble volt age ranges.)
