This printer provides the user with the ability to download new menu system languages and/or replace the Datamax
provided tra ns la t ions. A M ic r os oft ® Ex cel S prea dsheet def ines t he menu dic tiona r y – t he us er a dds a new la nguage colu mn
or modifies a n exis t ing colu mn in the sp r ea dsheet , clicks on t he ‘Gener a te DP L file(s ) ’ r a dio b ut t on a nd sends the gener a ted
DPL file(s) to the pr inter.
Here are the highlight s and r estrictions of the feature:
• The printer c an r egis ter up to 10 dif ferent display languages, inc luding E FIG S.
• The EFIGS languages and any additional languages are stored on Module Y: a 64KB Flash Module located on the
Main PCB.
• I t is oka y t o downloa d menu files genera t ed for a les s er f ir mwa r e r evision t o new fir mwa r e – a ny mess a ges tha t a r e not
defined a re disp layed in Englis h.
• For the p rocedures b elow, the p rint er will ac c ep t the menu downloa ds f rom any availa ble p ort.
• The langua ge creation progr a ms support Windows® 95, Windows® 9 8, Windows® N T, and Windows® 2000.
