2.0 Before Using the Pri nter
Removing the Packaging
Insp ec t the s hipping c ontainer ( s) f or da ma ge; if damage is evident notif y the ship ping c ompany to report the nature a nd
extent of the damage.
The p rinter is c ar efully packaged t o avoid a ny damage du ring t ra nsit. In order to operate the p rinter you will need to remove
the packaging materials (i.e., ta pe and foa m) tha t wer e pla ced in the printer for shipment. Complete the following steps prior
t o c onnecting power or a ttempting to loa d media .
 Ensure tha t the a r row on the box is pointing up, a nd then open the box.
 R emove the top pi ece of packing f oam.
 Lift the printer from the box.
 Remove the printer from the plastic bag.
 R emove any tape or additi onal packing foam fr om t he ins ide of the printer.
 Not e: It is a good i dea to save all packagi ng material s i n t he event that shippi ng t he printer is ever r equired.
