1.1.2 Optional Features
Thermal Transfer
A print ing method that uses ribbon to produc e exc ep tional image clar ity, as c ompar ed t o most direct thermal media
t ypes . T his opti on must be s pecified for use wit h either ‘c oated s i de in’ ribbon or ‘c oated side ou t’ rib bon.
Media Cutte r
A rotary-type mechanism to automatically cut material with a maximum thickness of .010” (.254 mm) into minimum
lengths of 1.25 inc hes (3 1.8 mm). D es i gned for ease of operat ion, the Media Cutter is automatic ally detected,
conf igured, and enabled when installed on the p rinter.
Peel and Present Mechanism (requires the Internal Rewind option)
An output control device that automatically separates printed labels from the backing material and allows subsequent
printing to occur only after the removal of a previously printed label. Minimum label length is 1.5 inches (38 mm).
Designed for ease of operation, the Peel and Present Mechanism is automatically detected, configured, and enabled
when inst alled on the printer.
Internal Rewind
An int ernal mechanism to wind f our-inc h ou ter diameter rolls of p rint ed labels , or t he lab el b acking material when us ing
the Peel and Pres en t option .
Present Sensor
An outpu t cont rol device that a llows sub sequ ent p rint ing to oc c ur only af ter the remova l of a previous ly printed label.
Des igned f or ease of operat ion, the Present Sensor is automa tically detected, c onf igured, and enabled when installed on
the printer.
FLASH Memory Expansion (requires new main PCB)
An opt ional main PCB assembly is ava ilable with 4M B (M-4206) 8MB (M-4208 and M-4306)) Fl ash me mo ry
exp ansion for Int ernational Language Printi ng Capability ( IL PC) and/or a dditi onal font s and graphic s.
ILPC
The International Language Print Capability c onsisting of one of the following:
 CG-Times (western European ) Scalable font
 Kanji Gothic B Scalable font
 Simplified Chin ese GB Scalable font
 Korean Hangul font
