Printer Fault Messages (continued)

ribbon supply hub
movement.
Try the f ollowing:
1) Ensure that ribbon is correctly loaded and that the
print hea d assembly is latc hed.
2) Check the ribbon supply and r ibbon take up hubs for
obstr uc tions that may be s toppi ng movement.
3) E nsure that the ri bb on core fit s snugly on the ri bbon
supply hub.
4) Ensure that the media and paper c ombination is not
slipping (usually caused by an incor r ect match).

unexpected place.
Note: When t he printer is
set for reflective media, this
fault is given for an out of st ock
condition.
If media is moving:
1) Press the F EE D K ey. I t may b e necessary to re-calibra te
the printer; see Section 5.4.
2) The M edia Sensor may be ou t of positi on. Readjust it; see
Section 3.3.
3) The media ma y not be p roperly loaded. Reload media,
a l so ensure that the M edia G uide is positioned p roperly;
see S ection 3.2.
4) The Leveling Cam may b e improperly adjusted; see
Section 6.2.
5) The label may be longer than the default value for
maximum length. Check the Media Sett i ngs / Maximu m
Label Length; see Section 5.1.2.
6) The Media Sensor may be ob struc ted. Chec k and
carefu lly remove a ny obstruc tion (labels , paper dust,
adhes ive, etc ) .
If me dia i s not moving:
The printhead assembly may not be latched; close it.
