Voicemail Global Settings
Voicemail global settings are parameters that apply to all voicemail boxes that are
configured on Evolution. Voicemail global settings can be
accessed by clicking on the globe icon next to the Save and
Delete buttons on every voicemail detail screen (Resources tab > Voicemail >
pencil to edit voicemail > global icon). Following are the fields that may be
configured:
Max Length - the maximum length of a voicemail that may be left on the system.
Longer times require more hard drive space for storage.
Min Length - the minimum length that a voicemail must be to be saved. If a
message is shorter it will be automatically deleted.
Max Greeting - the maximum time that the voicemail box owner is allowed to
record a greeting for their mailbox.
Play Time - selecting yes forces the voicemail system to play to the owner the time
that the message was left.
From String - text that will be used as the from field for emails that Evolution
sends (for example, voicemail to email feature).
Play Next - selecting yes forces the voicemail system to automatically play the
next message if the current message is deleted.
Notify Subject - text that will be used as the subject field for emails that
Evolution sends (for example, voicemail to email feature).
Play CID - selecting yes forces the voicemail system to play the Caller ID to the
owner at the beginning of each voicemail.
Silence Thresh - the sensitivity to silence that the voicemail system will use to
determine if the call should be terminated due to no valid audio being received.
This limits long, blank voicemail that the system did not receive a disconnect from
