3. Click New Record at the bottom of the screen. The detail section will expand
and allow you to congure the new extension group.
4. Choose an extension group number.
5. In the Name eld enter the name that you would like to use to describe this
extension group.
6. Use the Mailbox setting to choose a mailbox for the extension group. If a call is
not answered by one of the extensions in the extension group within the
number of seconds set by the Ring Time it will be routed to the mailbox
specied.
7. Select whether you want to record calls to this extension or not.
8. Set Playing to your music on hold collection. This will play music to the caller
rather than playing a ringing sound.
9. Set Strategy to Ring All (Many). All calls will ring all of the extension in this
group.
10. Set the Priority to one.
11. Set the Position to Never.
12. Set Hold Ann. to None.
13. Set Whisper to None.
14. Set Allow VM to Enabled.
15. Set Fast Pass to Disabled.
16. Add the extensions that you want to ring as part of this extension group.
17. Click the Save button.
Test the extension group. You may dial the extension group number from any
telephone connected to Evolution and the call will be sent to the extension group.
Voicemail
Evolution PBX includes a voicemail application. Click on the Resources tab and
then on the Voicemail menu item to set up voicemail boxes and to edit preferences.
When you congure an extension for a telephone or other device a matching
voicemail box is automatically created. You can elect to not automatically create a
voicemail box for a given extension by selecting None rather than Personal for the
Mailbox eld when you are setting up a new extension.
Voicemail Configuration
Use the following steps to manually create a new voicemail box:
1. Click on the Resources tab and then on the Voicemail menu item.
2. The detail section will expand and allow you to congure the new voicemail
box. Complete the elds according to the following descriptions:
Mailbox - voicemail box that will be used by users and the system to route
calls and access the voicemail box.
Password - password for the user to access their voicemail box. By default
it is set to be the same as the voicemail box.
Name - for easy system reference and to provide the users name for the
dial-by-name directory if it is enabled.
0 Reaches Operator - Yes or no whether a caller will escape from voicemail
to reach an operator.
Email Address - enter the email address that will be sent an email message
for each new voicemail received. If the Attach Voicemail eld is set to Yes
then the email will include the digitally recorded message as a .wav le
attachment. Leave this eld blank if no email is desired.
Notication Email - enter the email address that will be sent an email
message for notication only. No message will be attached regardless of the
status of the Email Address and Attach Voicemail elds. Leave this eld
blank if no email is desired.
