Linksys PAP2T-NA
The Linksys PAP2T-NA is a SIP analog terminal adapter. It
has one RJ45 Ethernet interface to connect to your data
network and two RJ11 FXS interfaces to connect to analog
devices such as analog telephones or fax machines. Each analog
port on the PAP2T-NA must be configured as an individual
extension in Evolution. Use the following steps to configure
each line of your analog terminal adapter:
1. Log on to Evolution and click the Resources tab at the top
of the screen
2. Click Phone Extensions in the menu on the left side of
the screen
3. At the bottom of the screen there is a drop-down menu titled New Device,
Select VoIP--GENERIC SIP-
4. The Modify Phones detail frame will appear. Edit the following:
• Select the extension number that you want using the Extension drop-down
menu
• Edit the Caller ID Name field to reflect what name you want to be passed
as this extension’s Caller ID text
• Edit the Caller ID Number field to reflect what number you want to be
passed as this extension’s Caller ID number

located
• Select yes or no using the Remote Phone drop-down menu. Select yes if
the phone will not be on the same subnet as the Evolution server (for
example, if the phone belongs to a user that is located at a remote
location). Otherwise select no
• The other options on the Modify Phones frame are optional or advanced
5. Click the Save button on the middle, right side of the screen
Note: The Evolution PBX web configuration interface requires that your browser’s
popup blocker be turned off or disabled so that the Device Settings screen can be
seen.
6. Write down the device settings for your new
extension that are listed on the Device Settings
box.
7. Use the Linksys PAP2T-NA web configuration
tool to enter the device settings that you wrote

• Determine the IP address of the PAP2T-NA. Connect the PAP2T-NA to
your Ethernet network and connect an analog telephone to one of the
ports labeled PHONE1 or PHONE2.
• Dial **** (star key four times) and then dial 110#. The PAP2T-NA will read
you the IP address that it acquired through DHCP on your network. Write
