Time Zone
The time zone of the telephone (Hawaii, Alaska, Pacic, Arizona, Mountain,
Indiana, Central, Eastern, Atlantic). Auto congured telephones will use this
setting to automatically calculate the correct time and date.
Paging
Enabled will include this extension in the permission to be paged. Disabled will
prevent this extension from being paged.
Remote Phone
Yes congures Evolution and telephone auto congurations for remote use (a
telephone at a dierent location). No congures Evolution and telephone auto
conguration les for local use (default).
IP Address
For Future Use
Heartbeat
Advanced. The duration for keep-alive messages between Evolution and the
telephone (options = No, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000).
Outbound
Internal Only permits this extension to only make internal calls (extension to
extension), Internal-Local permits this extension to make internal and local calls
(per the Outbound Dial Map route Local), Internal-Local-Toll permits this
extension to make any type of call that Evolution is congured to allow (default).
Codec
Set the CODEC to use for this extension (G711 (USA), G729 (Licensed**)). **
requires the purchase of a license, contact Intuitive Voice.

Polycom SoundPoint IP Telephones
The Polycom SoundPoint IP telephones may be purchased with SIP or MGCP
rmware. Evolution PBX requires SIP rmware. The following steps describe the
set up of a Polycom IP601 but the steps are similar for each of the Polycom
SoundPoint IP models. Use the following steps to set up an extension in Evolution
for a Polycom SoundPoint IP telephones. Models supported include IP650, IP601,
IP600, IP550, IP501, IP500, IP430, IP330, IP320, IP301, IP300, and the
SoundStation IP 4000.
1. Log on to Evolution and click the Resources tab at the top of the screen.
2. Click Phone Extensions in the menu on the left side of the screen.
3. At the bottom of the screen there is a drop-down menu titled New Device,
Select VoIP-Polycom-60X if you have either an IP600 or an IP601 (if you are
conguring a dierent model then select the appropriate Evolution device).
4. The Modify Phones detail frame will appear. Edit the following:
Select the extension number that you want using the Extension drop-down
menu.
Edit the Caller ID Name eld to reect what name you want to be passed
as this extensions Caller ID text.
Edit the Caller ID Number eld to reect what number you want to be
passed as this extensions Caller ID number.
Enter the MAC address from the back of the phone into the MAC Address
eld (the address is twelve, hexadecimal digits).
Select the appropriate time zone for the time zone where the phone will be
located.
Select yes or no using the Remote Phone drop-down menu. Select yes if
the phone will not be on the same subnet as the Evolution server (for
