STATUS LIGHT

CONDITION POTENTIAL SOLUTION(S)
OFF.
Combination Gas Control
(Thermostat) turned off.
Follow the operating instructions in the Use & Care
Manual to turn on the combination gas control
(thermostat).
Pilot not lit. Follow the lighting instructions as detailed on this water
heater and it's Use & Care manual to light the pilot.
Insufcient power supply
(millivoltage).
Check thermopile connector to the combination gas
control (thermostat) to ensure it is properly connected
Check thermopile wires for damage and replace if
needed.
Inspect pilot assembly.
Constantly lit.
Pilot recently extinguished and.
Thermopile is cooling down.
Temperature knob recently turned
to OFF position.
Follow the lighting instructions as detailed on the water
heater and it's Use & Care manual to light the pilot.
One (1) blink every three
(3) seconds.
Normal Operation.
Temperature knob in pilot position
and pilot is lit.
Set temperature knob on combination gas control
(thermostat) to desired setting.
Two (2) blinks every three
(3) seconds.
Low thermopile voltage however
pilot is lit.
Check thermopile connector to the combination gas
control (thermostat) to enssure it is properly connected
Check thermopile wires for damage and replace it
needed.
Inspect pilot assembly.
Four (4) blinks every
three (3) seconds.
High water temperature limit
tripped.
Contact a qualied service technician.

Five (5) blinks every three
(3) seconds.
Water temperature sensor failure. Contact a qualied service technician.

Seven (7) blinks every
three (3) seconds.
Combination Gas Control
(Thermostat) failure.
Contact a qualied service technician.
See "IF YOU NEED SERVICE" on page 28.
Eight (8) blinks every
three (3) seconds.
False pilot ame signal. Contact a qualied service technician.
See "IF YOU NEED SERVICE" on page 28.
Nine (9) blinks every
three (3) seconds.
Chamber sensor failure. Contact a qualied service technician.

Ten (10) blinks every
three (3) seconds.
Chamber temperature shutdown. Contact a qualied service technician.

If Pilot is lit, Status Light will briefly stay lit and turn from blue to red when knob is turned to OFF.
If the Status Light is not blinking blue,
relight the pilot. To light Pilot, see Lighting
Instructions on water heater. If Status
Light blinks red more than one flash every
three seconds, see Use & Care Manual.
