7.3 DRIVERS
The MFC-CB drivers option provides eight open collector drivers for operating external valves,
solenoids, indicators, etc. When operating from the setup-driver screen (see Section 3.2.7), pressing
[ENTE
R] allows the operating mode of the drivers to be set. The two modes of operation are
Momentary and Toggle. A momentary driver changes state while the corresponding driver number
on the keyboard is being pressed. In toggle mode, the driver state toggles each time the
corresponding key is pressed and released.
Each output can sink 500 mA at 12 V. However, the total output of all the activated drivers cannot
exceed 1 Amp. Therefore, if multiple drivers are being activated, refer to Table 16 as a guide.
