Installing R170 PDU and CDU Tags

To integrate the R170 PDU Sensor Tag with RF Code hardware and software (Zone Manager and Asset Manager), perform

the following steps:

1. If you have not already done so, install the PDU in your enterprise hardware rack and then power it on.

2. If you have not already installed an RF Code Reader, please do so.

NOTE: For information about installing RF Code Readers, please refer to the user manual for your reader, which

is available on the CD that came with the reader or on the RF Code Support website:

3. If you have not already configured the RF Code Reader, please do so.

NOTE: For information about configuring the reader, please refer to the user manual for the reader as well as to

the user manual for the Reader Configuration Utility, both of which are available on the RF Code Support

4. Connect the R170 PDU Sensor Tag (illustrated directly below) to the PDU by plugging the cable attached to the

sensor tag into the RJ-12 (or RJ-45, as appropriate) Out port (jack) on the PDU
