M184 continuously beacons the unique identifier printed on the product label. In order to improve the device
discovery by the M250 Readers and CenterScape, it is important to add the Tag Group in CenterScape prior
to hardware installation. See Adding a Tag Group for the .
M184 Configuration for CenterScape
Before the M184 devices can start tracking asset location, some CenterScape configuration must be
completed. In order to improve the device discovery, it is important to add the tag group in CenterScape
prior to hardware installation.
Adding a Tag Group for the M184
The M184 requires a new Tag Group entry to be added and configured in CenterScape prior to discovery by
the M250 Readers. The M184 uses Treatment Code 05 and Group Code BOBCAT. To add the Tag Group
entry, follow these steps. In order to perform this action, it requires CenterScape revision 1.3.
1. Login to CenterScape and navigate to the administrator console by clicking on the “Admin Console”
2. In the “Tasks” pane (left side), click on “Configuration” and select “Tag Groups”.
3. Add a new tag group by selecting “Treatment Code 05 Tag Group” from the drop-down menu
under “Tag Group:” in the main window.
