Please note
In the following chapters, whenever a
setting can be made using the rotary
knob, the range to be modified is
shown in the display in two square
brackets
[...]. At the same time, the
small red
Jog light, to the right of the
M51 rotary knob, lights up.
The following symbol in the manual
draws your attention to this feature

Edit characters [ ]
The actual editing and modification of
the individual characters (letters and
numbers) is done using the rotary
knob. By turning the knob you scroll
through first the alphabet in upper
case, then in lower case followed
finally by the numeric digits from 0 to 9.
You can scroll backwards as well as
forwards.
Character sequence:
Once you have entered the required
characters to make up the desired
name, you can store your input with
the softkey
Store.
If you want to break off the action,
press the softkey
Cancel.
Example
In the following example, the name
Room 26 was replaced with Dinner.
