5 Hook the speaker terminal wrench onto the
WRENCH HOLDER on the rear panel of this
unit when not in use.
• Connecting to the SP2 speaker
terminals
Connect Zone 2 or Zone 3 speakers to these terminals (see
page 113).
1 Open the tab.
Red: positive (+)
Black: negative (-)
2 Insert one bare wire into the hole on the
terminal.
• Connecting the banana plug
(except U.K., Europe, Asia and Korea
models)
The bananaplug is a single-pole electrical connector
widely used to terminate speaker cables.
Bananaplug
1 Tighten the knob using the supplied speaker
terminal wrench.
Speakerterminalwrench
Red: positive (+)
Black: negative (-)
2 Insert the banana plug connector into the
end of the corresponding terminal.
Close the tab to secure the wire.
Youcan also use thebanana plug with the SP2 speakerterminals.
Open thetab and then insert one bananaplug into the hole on the
tcrminah Do not close the tab after connecting the banana plug.
