Instructions / Assembly
B. DECK OR DOCK INSTALLATION:
1. Mark or Flag the location where Retract A Light will be placed on your Deck or Dock.
2. Choose a convenient location to mount the Retract A Light controller. The location for the controller should not
exceed 90’ from the furthest fixture. The controller can be mounted either inside or outside the house or building. Be
sure to locate the controller within 3 feet of a 110-volt GFCI receptacle. AVOID USING
EXTENSION CORDS.
3. Using the template provided mount the controller. DO NOT PLUG IT IN.
4. Select a path from the controller to the fixtures. This path will be used to route your ¼” air tube and landscape
lighting wire.
5. Using a 3” hole saw and power drill, complete holes in deck/dock for fixtures.
6. Next, using a clockwise motion, screw DF-1212 deck flanges to fixtures (see above). Screw on until firm.
7. Next attach your tubing and wire to the dock/deck from the controller to the last fixture.
8. Continue from step 9 on previous page and finish with the last step below.
Last step = Attach wire and tubing to the underside of the
deck or dock,
to keep them off the ground (or out of the water). Be careful
not to puncture the tubing.

3. Then turn lights on and off a few times to extend/retract the light fixtures, cleaning any dirt and foreign matter from
the base of the light.
