Electronic telephone book
General information
The electronic telephone book can store up to 100 entries. An entry consists of the name (search criterion) and the telephone
number whereas the name has to begin with a letter. The telephone number should always be entered together with the area
code (prefix number). If the number belongs to a person with the same area code as yours, you can refrain from entering this code
number if you had entered it already via the settings (see “settings / own telephone number”). The entries are listed in alphabetical
order.
Editing and storing entries
Press the button for the secondary function. The display shows the symbol for the secondary function.
Press the arrow button (up or down). The display shows the entry field for the name and the telephone
number. The cursor is positioned in the NAME field.
If necessary, you might change the assignments by press-
ing the arrow button (up) (see table “Overview of possible
characters and numbers”).
The display shows the possible assignments:
↑(ABC) = capital letters
↑(abc) = small letters
↑(12!?) = numbers and special characters
Enter the name. The individual letters are written by press-
ing the corresponding entry button one or several times.
Example: If you need to enter “M”, press the message
transfer button three times (“M” is located at the third
memory location of this button).
The cursor blinks.
Press the arrow button (right) to move to the next entry po-
sition.
The cursor moves to the next entry position.
If you need to move the cursor to the left, e. g. to overwrite
a number, you can do that by pressing the arrow button
(left).
The cursor moves to the left side.
Use the arrow button (down) to insert a character or num-
ber.
A blank is inserted at the left side of the cursor.
To delete a character or number, position the cursor to the
point in question and press the select button next to the
“delete” symbol.
The character or number at the cursor position is deleted.
