Step 4 - Set the motion detect parameter
The video can be divided into a 64(8*8) grid style region. You can select(unselect) each region ‘s status
independently. A region is set (or actively monitored) when the diamond icon
is displayed. The
software will check this region of the video for motion. You simply click the image directly to
activate/deactivate the status of each region.
a) The Recording Time after Motion is the duration of recording will occur when activated. It is
recommended the value be set between 15 and 900 seconds. The Recording Time before Motion is
the record time before checked video moving, you can set 20 or 10 seconds more. If you don’t need
the pre-record function, you can set this parameter to 0, then it will save more cpu resource for
encoding!
b) Motion sensitivity is the video motion grade used during detection. If you set to 0, all video will be
regarded as motion status. If you set to 255, then all video will not be regarded as no motion. The
recommended value should be set between 3 to 6.
c) Motion audio alarm activates or deactivates the systems internal speaker to ‘Beep’ informing you
when motion is detected. This setting can be checked/unchecked (on/off) without impacting the
actual recording.
d) The button “Motion Test” is used to test the video motion detection settings. It allows you to test the
motion sensitivity value’s effectiveness in your particular environment.
e) The “Run a Program” item means you can select a application program in disk, our software will
automatically run this program when video start moving.
Step 5 - Save changes
Click the
button to the changes that have been completed. All channel settings will be
saved for all channels, until you make additional changes and click the save button again. If you don’t want to
save the changes your settings, you can select Exit button, then software will restore the settings to the state just
prior to your entering this dialog window.
