User guide

Click the button to select one desired channel. If you select “All Channel” in list, your
new settings will be copied to all channels!
Step 2 - Select one record format in list, then change video encode type, audio encode type, bit-rate, and some
OSD information! Such as channel title, date osd and time osd.
a) If you want to record one channel to MP4, MOV files, you can select H264, XVID or Mpeg4 video
encoder type along with AAC audio encoder.
b) If you want to record one channel to FLV, SWF files, you can select H264, FLV1 video encoder
type along with MP3 audio encoder.
c) If you want to record one channel to ASF files, you can select MSMPEG4, WMV3 video encoder
and MP3, WMA audio encoder.
d) If this channel will connect to an ip camera, our software will directly get video stream and audio
stream from it. But if it’s encoder type can not be compatible with the record type of this channel,
our software will re-encode video or audio to an appropriate format, this will cost more cpu
resource! AVI file format can hold many encoder, so you can select an appropriate encoder to avoid
re-encode video.
e) To avoid one record file is too long, you can select every 20 minutes to change new record file, or
every 45 minutes to switch record file! AVI, MP4, MOV file format need to be close exactly,
otherwise all this file can not be played normally!
f) For all channels, you can change the record format, such as AVI, MP4, FLV etc, but you can not
select video encoder and video bitrate for some ip cameras, such as mpeg4 ip camera, H.264 ip
cameras! Because our software will directly save the raw video stream getting from the ip camera to
record files! Or our software will automatically select a right video encoder for your record format.
g) The channel record format will influence the remote viewer, such as “Win Media Viewer” need
ASF or WMV record format! “QuickTime Viewer” and “RealPlayer Viewer” need MP4 or MOV
record format! “Flash Viewer” need FLV or SWF record format! The “ActiveX Viewer” and
“Simple Jpeg Viewer” have no relation with the channel record format, so it can view all channel
video from remote!
Step 3 - Save Changes
Click the
button to save the changes that have been changed, all channel settings
will be saved and take effect at once! If you click “Exit” button directly, software will restore the old settings
and don’t change anything!
