Manual

The opening Beam Steering window displays the setup criteria and the beam’s aiming angle and focal point.
It does not map (calculate and display) the Array’s beam until the Calculate Mapping button is pressed. You’ll nd it in the Mapping setup
section on the right side of the screen. The Mapping section controls the calcula-
tion’s frequency, bandwidth and weighting.
Note the four control buttons in the lower right corner of the Beam Steering window.
Pressing Send to Working Memory will send any beam steering conguration setting
changes you have made directly to the array’s DSP and write over any previous
settings.
Pressing Save to Preset will store the conguration settings as a conguration Pre-
set in the selected preset le. We’ll go into Presets in more detail later.
Note that in both cases, only the beam steering information is being sent to the Ar-
ray’s DSP.
Export Setup will generate a .rhs setup le that can easily be imported into EASE
and EASE JR models for a more detailed acoustic evaluation. Beam Steering shows
you the array’s vertical coverage, but not the horizontal coverage or the effect of
reections on intelligibility and clarity. EASE and EASE JR do.
Import Setup allows you to import into Beam Steering any changes you may have
made in the conguration settings in EASE or EASE JR.
