safety organization or the corresponding authority for your country.
Correct polarity must be observed while inserting the rechargeable
batteries.
Rechargeable batteries should be removed from the device if it is not
used for a long period of time to avoid damage through leaking. Leaking or

Function of the motion detector
The PIR sensor integrated in the product responds to temperature changes within
the detection range. Such is the case when humans or animals, whose temperatures
dier from the ambient temperature, enter the detection range.
In order to allow for maximum detection, the product should be positioned in such
a way that the object to be detected does not walk towards the motion detector but
crosses the detection range from left to right or vice versa. Keep that in mind when
installing the product.
The range of detecting temperature changes depends on a variety of factors:
- Installation height
- Ambient temperature
- Temperature dierence between the moving object and the environment
- Size of the object
- Distance between object and product
- Direction and speed of motion
Detecting temperature changes through glass is basically not possible. Do
not install the product behind a pane of glass.
Preparing installation
Ensure the correct mounting position of the wall light’s wall bracket. Make sure the
two screw holes that are used to attach the wall light to the wall bracket face down
vertically.
In case of wall mounting, choose a stable, vertical surface (e.g. the wall of a house
or garage).
You may also use the clamping jaws to mount the product to a pole. That mounting
method also requires the wall light to be aligned vertically. The on/o switch and the
connection socket for the solar module must face down vertically.
The product is suitable for use in unprotected outdoor areas. It must however not
be used in or under water.
Do not mount the product to or inside vehicles.
Make sure to consider the position of the solar module when choosing the mounting
location.
Install the solar module at a location with good lighting conditions and, if possible,
align it to the south in order for the solar module to charge the rechargeable
batteries during daytime. Make sure that the solar module is not covered or shaded,
i.e. by trees or buildings.
Make sure the solar module is not covered with snow or other obstructing deposit.
Do not install the solar module near other light sources (e.g. street lights) that
simulate daylight and thus prevent the product from turning on.
Installation
It is essential that you follow all instructions provided under “Function of the
motion detector” and “Preparing Installation”.
a) Wall-mounting the wall light
Make sure the product is turned o. The on/o switch at the bottom must be at OFF
position.
Loosen the 2 short screws located at the bottom next to the on/o switch and the
socket for connecting the solar module. Remove the wall bracket.
Perforate the 4 screw holes of the wall bracket using a sharp tool. Be careful when
doing so. This poses a risk of injury.
