Installation
Do not mount the product to a valuable surface as adhesive residue may be
left behind if you remove the product from the surface.
The adhesive pads may pull the paint from painted surfaces.
• Choose a suitable installation surface. The mounting surfaces should have the
following qualities:
- stable
- even
- smooth
- clean (free of dust and grease, dry)
- vertical
• Remove the protective lm from both adhesive pads and press the product onto the
surface. Apply pressure to the silver-coloured part of the housing to the left and
right, not to the transparent LED cover.
• Make sure that the product is rmly xed and cannot fall to prevent damage to the
product and/or personal injury.
Maintenance and cleaning
• Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions, as such would
damage the housing (discolorations).
• Never submerge the product in water.
• Besides occasional cleaning, the device is maintenance-free.
• Turn o the product and let it cool down suciently before cleaning.
• Use a clean, soft and dry cloth to clean the housing. For more stubborn dirt, slightly
moisten the cloth with a little lukewarm water.
• Do not apply too much force when cleaning the housing or light emitting aperture in
order to avoid scratching.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the
relevant statutory regulations.
Remove any inserted (rechargeable) batteries and dispose of them
separately from the product.
b) (Rechargeable) batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/
rechargeable batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated (rechargeable) batteries are labelled with this symbol to
indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations
for the heavy metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead
(name on (rechargeable) batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your
municipality, our stores or wherever (rechargeable) batteries are sold.
You thus full your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the
environment.
