b) DMX Operation
EachDMXdeviceinaDMXchainrequiresaso-calledDMXstartingaddresstobeclearlyidentiedbythe
controller.ThisDMXstartingaddressspeciestherstDMXchanneltowhichtheeffectlightresponds.The
remainingcontrolchannelscomeafterthisrstDMXchannel(DMXstartingaddress).
The effect light requires 7 free DMX channels.
Push the button MENU (5), until "d" shows in the display (4), followed by a number. The number is the DMX start
address.
Select the desired starting address 001-512 with the UP (6) and DOWN (7) buttons.
If you operate several effect lights in a DMX chain, you can also set the DMX start address as follows.
This ensures that every effect light is assigned its 7 DMX channels and that the DMX channel groups follow
in sequence.
Push the button MENU (5), until "IP" shows in the display (4), followed by a number. The digit is the number of the
effect light in the DMX chain.
"IP.01" assigns the 1st effect light DMX channels 1-7
“IP.02" assigns the 2nd effect light DMX channels 8-14 and so on.
Up to 73 effect lights can be encoded this way.
The following table provides information about the effects of the settings on the individual DMX channels.
