Acceptance test (in case of industrial/public use):

Before ﬁrst use and after any signiﬁcant modiﬁcations, the installation (including the electrical

connections) must be inspected by an ocial expert.

 Ayearlyinspectionbyanexpertisrequired.

At least every 4 years, an acceptance test must be carried out by an expert.

• Setupthedeviceunderobservationoftheabovesafetynotes.

• Alternatively,thedevicecanalsobeattachedwiththemountingbracket.

• Alwaysobservehorizontalsetupforthis.

8. Connection

a) Connection of a DMX Controller

Only connect the device to a DMX controller with a DMX-512 protocol.

• ConnecttheconnectionDMXINwiththeoutputoftheDMXcontroller.

• UseascreenedXLRcableforthis.Thecontrollermusthave3freecontrolchannels.

• ConnectDMXOUTwiththeDMXinputofthesubsequentdevice(ifpresent).

• IfthehazeristhelastortheonlydeviceintheDMXchain,insertaplugwitha120ohm/0.25Wtermina-

tingresistorintotheDMXOUTsocket(betweenPin2andPin3).

Pin assignment of the DMX connection: Pin1 = earth / Pin2 = (-) / Pin3 = (+).
