• Check the device and the power adapter from time to time for damage.
Do not touch the power pack, the watch winder, or the connection cable
if they show visible damage. First, switch off the power at the correspond-
ing mains socket (e.g. with the corresponding circuit breaker), and then
carefully unplug the power adapter from the mains socket. Do not use the
product afterwards, but take it to a specialist workshop.
• Never place vessels or containers containing liquids, such as glasses,
buckets, vases or plants, on the device or in the direct vicinity of the de-
vice. Liquids may seep into the casing and thus impair the electrical safety
of the device. Furthermore, there is a significant risk of fire or a lethal
electric shock! In such an event, isolate the mains socket to which the
product is connected (e.g. switch off the automatic fuse) and unplug the
power pack from the mains socket. Afterwards, the product can no longer
be used; take it to a specialist workshop.
• Do not expose the device to high temperatures, dripping or sprayed water,
strong vibrations or heavy mechanical stress.
• Do not place open flames, such as burning candles, on or close to the

Connecting the power adapter
Only the enclosed power adapter may be used for the mains connection.
Connect the power adapter only to a normal mains socket connected to the
public supply.
Make sure that the current designation on the power adapter agrees with
the mains voltage of your power supply. Never try to operate the device
with any other voltage.
Make sure that the connecting cable is not pinched or damaged by sharp
edges when making the connection.
The mains socket to which the power adapter is connected must be easily
accessible, so the device can be quickly isolated from the mains power
supply in the event of a fault.
• Connect the low voltage adapter of the power adapter with the socket on the prod-
uct’s rear.
