10. Operation
Scalding/burning hazard!
Never open the lid (2) during the brewing process.
Hot liquids and steam will escape from the openings. Keep away from these parts.

Thehotplate(11)andthecoeepot(13)getveryhotduringuse!
1. Placethecoeemachineonaclean,dryandhorizontalsurface.Theanti-sliprubberfeet(12)stop
the machine from moving. Please be aware that the rubber feet can leave marks on delicate surfaces.
2. Open the lid.
3. Pourcold,freshdrinkingwaterintothewatertank(8)throughthewaterllhole(3).Donotexceedthe
Max. mark on the water level indicator (6).
Water level indicator:
The product can hold a maximum of 1.8 L of water. This corresponds to approximately 12 cups of
coee.Pouratleast0.6Lofwaterintothetank.
Usesoftorlteredwatertopreventlimescalefromforminginthemachine.
4. Addcoeegrindstothelter(17).Measurethenecessaryamountofcoeegrindsfromthepackof
coee.Asaruleofthumb,useonelevelmeasuringspoon(18)ofcoeegrindspercupofcoee.
- Youcanalsousesize4paperlters(lterbags)insteadofthefactory-providedlter(17).
5. Insertthelterintothelterholder(16)andtheninsertthelterholderintothelterholderslot(5).
6. Close the lid.
7. Placethecoeepotontothehotplate.
8. Connectthemainsplug(9)toasuitablemainssocket.TheLCD(26)turnsonand"12:00"ashesonthe
display.Referto“11.Settingthetimeandusingthetimer”onpage23forinformationonhowtoset
the time.
- TheLCDbacklightwillturnoautomatically10secondsafterthecoeemachineswitcheso.
- If the power supply is interrupted:
» If the power supply is interrupted for more than 10 seconds: the brewing process must
be started again.
» If the power supply is interrupted for 10 seconds or less: the product switches
back on automatically
and the brewing process
continues.
Stowing the cable:
The mains cable (9) can be conveniently stowed in the cable tidy (10) on the back of the machine.
Stow the cable in the cable tidy after unplugging it from the mains.
