8. Inserting and Replacing Batteries

• Open the battery compartment (gure 1, item 5) on the bot-

tombyrstturningthescrew(gure1,item7)ofthebattery

compartment lid out and taking off the battery compartment lid

(gure1,item6).

• Insert two type AAA/micro batteries with correct polarity into the

battery compartment (observe plus/+ and minus/-), see notes in

the battery compartment.

• Attach the battery casing lid and screw it back on. The thermo

logger is now ready for operation.

• The batteries require changing when the display contrast is very

weak or the device can no longer be switched on.

9. Operation

a) Switching On/Off

When you want to measure temperature, keep the “On/Off” button

(gure1,item1)pushedforapprox.twoseconds.Thethermolog-

ger will switch itself on.

To deactivate the thermo logger, keep the on-off button pushed

again for approx. two seconds until the display goes out. Then

fold the penetration sensor back by 180° into the corresponding

housingopening(cleanthepenetrationsensorrst,seechapter

“Maintenance and cleaning”).
