b) Use with an External DMX Controller
EachDMXdeviceinaDMXchainrequiresaso-calledDMXstartingaddresstobeclearlyidentiedbythe
controller.ThisDMXstartingaddressspeciestherstDMXchanneltowhichtheeffectlightresponds.The
remainingcontrolchannelscomeafterthisrstDMXchannel(DMXstartingaddress).
The effect light requires one or seven free DMX channels depending on the operating mode.
Setting the DMX starting address
• Use the MENU (4) button to select Addr in the menu and push the ENTER (7) button.
• Select the desired starting address 1-512 with the UP (6) and DOWN (5) buttons.
• PresstheENTERbutton(7)toconrmyourselection.
Setting the DMX channel number
• Use the MENU (4) button to select ChNd in the menu and push the ENTER (7) button.
• Select the desired DMX channel number (1 or 7) with the UP (6) and DOWN (5) buttons.
• PresstheENTERbutton(7)toconrmyourselection.
Setting master-slave mode
• Use the MENU (4) button to select SLnd in the menu and push the ENTER (7) button.
• Select the desired DMX operating mode with the UP (6) and DOWN (5) buttons.
NASt Master mode (automatic mode)
SL 1 Normal slave mode (The device acts synchronously to the master)
SL 2 Inverted slave mode (The device acts inverted to the master)
• PresstheENTERbutton(7)toconrmyourselection.
Ifthedeviceistobeoperatedasasingledevice(standalone),itmustbedenedasamasterdevice.The
device performs an automatically controlled light show in master mode.
Onlyonedeviceinamaster-slave-chainmustbedenedasmasterdevice.Allotherdevicesmustbe
denedasslavedevices.
