b) Use with an External DMX Controller
Each DMX device in a DMX chain requires a so-called DMX starting address to be clearly identied by the control-
ler. This DMX starting address species the rst DMX channel to which the effect light responds. The remaining
control channels come after this rst DMX channel (DMX starting address).
The effect light requires 9 or 15 free DMX channels depending on the operating mode.
Setting the DMX starting address
In the menu, select DMX Addr and push the ENTER button.
Select the desired starting address 001-512 with the arrows.
Press the ENTER button to conrm your selection.
Setting the DMX channel number
In the menu, select CH Mode and push the ENTER button.
Select the desired number of DMX channels (9 or 15) with the arrows.
Press the ENTER button to conrm your selection.
Setting the operating mode DMX
In the menu, select Work Mod and push the ENTER button.
Select the option DMX with the arrows.
Press the ENTER button to conrm your selection.
In DMX mode, the LED DMX next to the display will ash.
Setting master-slave mode
In the menu, select Master and push the ENTER button.
Select the option No = Slave mode or Yes = Master mode with the arrows.
Press the ENTER button to conrm your selection.
If the device is to be operated as a single device (standalone), it must be dened as a master device.
Only one device in a master-slave-chain must be dened as master device. All other devices must be
dened as slave devices.
Depending on whether the device is dened as master or slave, the corresponding LED next to the display
will ash.
