Positioning
The assembly and the installation of the device must be carried out by a specialist
who is familiar with the hazards and the relevant regulations. When selecting the set-
up location for your device, remember that exposure to shocks, vibrations, dust, heat,
cold or moisture must be avoided. Furthermore, keep the product away from strong
transformers or motors.
The device must be mounted out of normal reach.
When installing the product ensure that the adapter’s power cord is not jammed or
damaged by sharp edges.
During installation and service work, the area below the installation location must be
cordoned off.
The installation surface must be designed so that it can withstand 10 times the loading
capacity for at least 1 hour without permanent damaging deformation.
Furthermore, the device must be secured by a second, standalone safety equipment, if
mounted in an elevated position. No part of the installation may fall down.
Observe all the relevant regulations when mounting/installing the device.
Installation acceptance:
Before first use and after any significant modifications, the installation (including the
electrical connections) must be checked by a specialist.
An annual check by a technical expert is required.
At least every four years the device should be checked and approved by a specialist.
Mount the laser on a flat and sturdy surface, taking the aforementioned safety instructions into
account.
The place should be near a mains socket.
Connecting the power adapter
The mains socket to which the power adapter is connected must be easily accessi-
ble, so that the device can be quickly disconnected from the mains voltage, if a fault
occurs.
Take care that the cord of the power supply does not come in contact with other ca-
bles.
Be careful when handling mains cables and mains connectors. Mains voltage may
cause fatal electric shocks.
Do not leave the cables trailing free; route them in an orderly and professional way to
prevent accidents.
Plug the enclosed power adapter’s low-voltage plug into the low voltage connection (6) of the
device.
Plug the power adapter into a wall socket.
Operation
The ON/OFF button (3) is used to switch the device on or off:
Button depressed switched on
Button not depressed switched off
While the unit is switched on the laser beams emerge from the laser exits (5) and the effect LEDs
glow.
With the MODE (2) button, you can set the operating mode.
The following 4 modes are available:
Press 1x Automatic mode with Effect 1; indicator LED (1) glows green
Press 2x Automatic mode with Effect 2; indicator LED (1) flashes green
Press 3x Sound-to-Light mode with Effect 1; indicator LED (1) flashes red
Press 4x Sound-to-Light mode with Effect 2; indicator LED (1) flashes red/green
During the Sound-to-Light operation, the laser effect is controlled with the inbuilt mi-
crophone MIC (4) to the beat of the music.
Handling
Never switch the laser effect device on and off at short intervals. This will considerably reduce
the service life of the device.
The device is not suitable for continuous use. Maintaining pauses during operation (every
2 hours) will increase the product’s service life.
Do not operate the device immediately when you take it from a cold room into a warm room
environment. The condensation that forms might damage the device.
Leave the device disconnected and wait until it has reached room temperature. Wait until the
condensation has evaporated.
Do not cover the device in any way, this ensures sufficient ventilation. In addition, air circulation
must not be obstructed by objects such as magazines, tablecloths, curtains or similar items.
Maintenance
Before cleaning, disconnect the laser from the power supply (disconnect the power
adapter).
Absolutely prevent wetness or dampness from penetrating into the device.
The outside of the device should be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth or dry brush.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions; this may damage the surface of the
case.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable and must not be disposed of in the household waste!
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the current
statutory requirements.
