Installation and connection
Pay attention to the information in chapter “Preparations for installation”!
Due to the design and weight of the lamp, we recommend considering a
second person’s assistance for installation and connection.
Remove the U-shaped mounting bracket from the ceiling housing by unscrewing the
two lateral Phillips screws.
If plugs are needed to affix the mounting bracket to the ceiling of the room (depend-
ing on the texture of ceiling), mark the position of the drill holes through the holes on
the mounting bracket.
When drilling mounting holes or fastening into place, ensure that no existing
electrical cable, gas or water pipes are damaged.
Put the mains cable through the corresponding hole on the mounting bracket and
attach the mounting bracket to the ceiling by 4 suitable screws (and dowels, if nec-
essary).
Connect the mains cable using the terminals LED wall light (brown cable = L/phase,
blue cable = N/neutral line, green/yellow cable = PE/earth conductor, earthing sym-
bol).
Ensure that the protective earth wire is at least 2 cm longer than the two cables for
L/phase and N/neutral phase.
The protective earth wire must be connected!
When the ceiling lamp is to replace an existing lamp and no protective earth
is available, do not install the ceiling lamp. First, draw a new mains cable.
Where the protective earth is not connected, a fault with the mains voltage
might result in the metal housing of the ceiling lamp becoming live. There is
a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
Make sure only the minimum required length of the cable is stripped; otherwise it
could cause a short-circuit.
Also check the other screwing connections at the terminal strip (for the connection
cables of the light) and fasten them, if necessary.
Place the ceiling housing of the ceiling light onto the mounting bracket so that the
holes in the housing are located above the threaded holes in the mounting bracket.
Make sure that the mains cable is not pinched or trapped.
Secure the ceiling light to the mounting bracket by inserting the four screws that
you had initially removed, and then tighten them.
Switch on the mains voltage again and ensure that the ceiling lamp functions.
If the LEDs in the ceiling light do not go on, switch off the mains voltage
immediately (remove the fuse or switch off at the automatic circuit breaker,
switch off corresponding RCCB).
Thereafter, check the overhead light connections.
In case of doubt, contact a professional (e.g., an electrician)!
Maintenance and Cleaning
The ceiling light does not require maintenance. The LED light sources used are du-
rable and cannot be replaced.
Switch off the ceiling lamp or disconnect it from the mains before cleaning. After
that, allow sufficient time for the ceiling light to cool down.
The exterior of the ceiling lamp should only be wiped with a clean, soft, dry cloth.
Dust can be very easily removed with a soft, clean brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Do not use aggressive, chemical or scouring cleaning agents, as this may lead to
discolouration or changes in the material on the surface.
Disposal
The product must not be disposed of in the household waste.
Dispose of the product at the end of its serviceable life in accordance with
the current statutory requirements; e.g. return it to any suitable collection
point.
