Table 25-5. Flash Memory Control Commands
Classification Command Name Function
Verify Verify
Compares the contents of a specified area of the flash memory with
data transmitted from the programmer.
Chip Erase Erases the entire flash memory. Erase
Block Erase Erases a specified area in the flash memory.
Blank check Block Blank Check
Checks if a specified block in the flash memory has been correctly
erased.
Write Programming Writes data to a specified area in the flash memory.
Silicon Signature
Gets 78K0/Ix2 information (such as the part number and flash memory
configuration).
Version Get Gets the 78K0/Ix2 version and firmware version.
Getting information
Checksum Gets the checksum data for a specified area.
Security Security Set Sets security information.
Reset Used to detect synchronization status of communication. Others
Baud Rate Set Sets baud rate when UART communication mode is selected.
The 78K0/Ix2 microcontrollers return a response for the command issued by the dedicated flash memory programmer.
The response names sent from the 78K0/Ix2 microcontrollers are listed below.
