1.3.3 Pin Functions
Table 1.2 Pin Functions
Pin No.
Type Symbol BP-112 I/O Name and Function
VCC A1, J1, G9 Input Power supply pins. Connect all these pins to the
system power supply. Connect the bypass
capacitor between VCC and VSS (near VCC).
VCL E1 Input External capacitance pin for internal step-down
power. Connect this pin to Vss through an
external capacitor (that is located near this pin) to
stabilize internal step-down power.
Power
supply
VSS D3, H4,
E11, D8,
B4
Input Ground pins. Connect all these pins to the system
power supply (0V).
XTAL B3 Input
EXTAL A2 Input
For connection to a crystal resonator. An external
clock can be supplied from the EXTAL pin. For an
example of crystal resonator connection, see
section 21, Clock Pulse Generator.
φ C2 Output Supplies the system clock to external devices.
Clock
EXCL C2 Input 32.768-kHz external clock for sub clock should be
supplied.

D1
Input These pins set the operating mode. Inputs at
these pins should not be changed during
operation.
RES D2 Input Reset pin. When this pin is low, the chip is reset.
RESO A3 Output Outputs a reset signal to an external device.
System
control
STBY E3 Input When this pin is low, a transition is made to
hardware standby mode.
FWE A4 Input Pin for use by flash memory.
