The description of the pin wait function states that “program waits are inserted first.” Are program
waits inserted irrespective of the wait control register (WCR) setting?
Answer
As stated in the manual, with pin waits, program waits are inserted in accordance with the WCR
setting, followed by pin wait insertion with reference to the WAIT pin. A flowchart of pin wait
insertion is shown below.
