PARKING PROXIMITY SENSOR (continued)
Vehicle fitted with front and
rear parking proximity sensor
Operation
When the vehicle is being driven at
a speed below 12 mph (20 km/h)
approximately, the parking
proximity sensor system activates.
Any object located less than
approximately 60 centimetres away
from the front and/or rear of the
vehicle is detected and a beeping
sound is emitted.
Whenreversegearisselected,the
system switches automatically to
manoeuvre mode.
Any object located less than
approximately 90 centimetres away
from the front and/or less than
150 centimetres from the rear of the
vehicle is detected and a beeping
sound is emitted.
Manual activation/deactivation
of the rear parking proximity
sensor
Press switch 1 quickly to deactivate
the system.
The indicator light integrated into
the switch lights up to remind you
that the system is deactivated.
Pressing the switch again will
reactivate the system and the
indicator light will go out.
The system will reactivate
automatically each time the engine
is switched off.
You can deactivate the system
permanently by pressing the switch
and holding down switch 1 for
approximately three seconds.
The indicator light integrated into
the switch remains continuously lit.
In this event, to reactivate it, press
and hold down switch 1,forlonger
than three seconds and the
indicator in the switch goes out
When the vehicle is being
driven, some noises (motor
cycle, lorry, pneumatic drill,
etc.) may trigger the beeping
sound.
