Moving the Cursor
Selecting Text
When you select text on your NEO, the selection is highlighted in reverse: the
selected text is light and the background is dark. To deselect text that you’ve
selected, press esc or an arrow key. (Cutting, copying, and pasting also
deselects the text.)
Press these keys... ...to move to this point:
I J One character to the left or right
K L One line up or down
a-K Up one screen (scrolling)
a-L Down one screen (scrolling)
a-I Beginning of line
a-J End of line
option-I or option-J Previous word or next word
ctrl-I or ctrl-J Previous sentence or next sentence
ctrl-K or ctrl-L Previous paragraph or next paragraph
home Beginning of file
end End of file
Press these keys... ...to select the following:
shift-I One character to the left at a time
shift-J One character to the right at a time
shift-K One line up
shift-L One line down
shift-option-I From cursor to beginning of word
shift-option-J From cursor to end of word
shift-a-I From cursor to beginning of line
shift-a-J From cursor to end of line
shift-home From cursor to beginning of file
shift-end From cursor to end of file
ctrl-A or a-A Entire file
