- The QuizManager control bar shows a yellow indicator.
- The QuizManager control bar shows a black indicator, but a NEO is connected to that location on the Cart or to the USB port on the computer.
- I have a quiz installed on some NEOs, and I have student responses that I have not yet retrieved, but I’ve accidentally erased the quiz document from my computer. Now I can’t retrieve, or even remove, the responses.
- I have a quiz installed on some NEOs, but I have accidentally erased the quiz document from my computer and I don’t remember the Admin Password. Now I am unable to remove the quiz from the NEOs.

Downloading and Installing QuizDesigner and QuizManager

11. Now that QuizDesigner is installed, you need to install QuizManager.
Back in the AlphaQuiz3.x folder, double-click QuizManager Setup.exe.
12. When the installation Wizard appears, click Next in the Welcome panel.
13. Read the license. (If you prefer a printed copy, click Print.) Then, click I
accept the terms of the license agreement and click Next.
14. Click Install. The program will be installed.
15. Click one of the restart options. Then, click Finish.
Macintosh Instructions for Downloading and Installing QuizDesigner and
QuizManager
1. Go to http://www.alphasmart.com/support/downloads.html.
2. Under the NEO downloads, next to “AlphaQuiz SmartApplet System,”
click Mac. In most cases, the file will be downloaded to your desktop.
3. The .sit file that you downloaded should be automatically unstuffed into an
AlphaQuiz3.x folder. If it is not unstuffed automatically, double-click the .sit
file to do this.
4. Open the AlphaQuiz3.x folder.
5. Double-click QuizManager Installer first.
6. Click Continue in the QuizManager Installer screen.
7. Read the QuizManager license agreement. (If you prefer to print or save a
copy, click Print or Save As.) Then, click Accept. The program will be
installed.
8. Click Quit when the installation is finished.
9. Double-click QuizDesigner Installer.
10. Click Continue in the QuizDesigner Installer screen.
11. Read the license agreement. (If you prefer to print or save a copy, click
Print or Save As.) Then, click Accept. The program will be installed.
12. Click Quit when the installation is finished.
If you install
QuizDesigner first,
the installer will notify
you that QuizManager is not
installed. You can still install
QuizDesigner, but to avoid
this message, you can install
QuizManager first.
