Important notes on safety
PLEASE READ THESE NOTES CAREFULLY.
Keep these instructions to hand for later use.
Be sure to observe all hints and warning messages on instruments.
Installing the
printer
When installing the printer, make sure that it stands on a level and
secure base. Take great care when handling the printer to avoid injury
to persons.
Protect the printer from moisture.
Electronic
hazards
When connecting the printer to the power supply, be sure to
note the
connection data on the letterplate (serial number plate).
Check the voltage setting on the printer’s power input module.
The power terminal socket must be supplied with a grounding conductor
for reasons of electrical safety.
The printer has a dual fuse! Even after a fuse has blown, electrical
parts in the printer may continue to be under voltage.
Run the power cable so that no-one can trip over it. Make sure that
nothing is placed on the cable.
If the printer is not to be used for a longer period, disconnect it from the
power source. This will avoid damage in the event of voltage surges.
Never open the printer. For reasons of electrical safety, this may be
done only by authorized service personnel.
Operating
safety
Never touch the internal parts of the printer while it is running !
To avoid damage to the printer, use only accessories that have been
approved by the manufacturer.
Cleaning the
printer
Disconnect the printer from the power source before cleaning it.
For cleaning, never use liquid or aerosol cleaners, but only a damp
cloth.
Let your Rena
dealer check the
printer !
DISCONNECT THE PRINTER FROM THE POWER SOURCE IF !
The power cable or plug/socket are damaged.
Liquid has penetrated the printer.
The printer was exposed to moisture.
If the printer does not operate as described in the user guide or if you
cannot improve this situation by following the guide.
The printer has been dropped and/or the casing is damaged.
If the printer shows clear signs of a fault.
Replacement
parts
In the event of any repairs, only original replacement parts from the
manufacturer may be used.
