6.4 Capnography
The capnography component of the Tempus unit is covered by one or more of the following US patents:
6,428,483; 6,997,880; 6,437,316; 7,488,229, 7,726,954; and their foreign equivalents. Additional patent
applications pending.

Possession or purchase of this device does not convey any express or implied license to the device with
unauthorized consumable CO

sampling consumable products, which would, alone, or in combination with
this device, fall within the scope of one or more of the patents relating to this device and/or CO

WARNING
To ensure patient safety, do not place the monitor in any position that might cause it
to fall on the patient.
WARNING
To ensure accurate performance and prevent device failure, do not expose the
monitor to extreme moisture, such as rain.

The monitor is a prescription device and is to be operated by qualified healthcare
personnel.

The Tempus Pro is not for apnoea detection. The Tempus Pro is not an apnoea
monitor and does not provide apnoea alarming.

If uncertain about the accuracy of any measurement, first check the patient’s vital
signs by alternative means, and then make sure the monitor is functioning correctly.

Carefully route the FilterLine to reduce the possibility of patient entanglement or
strangulation.

Do not lift the monitor by the FilterLine, as it could disconnect from the monitor,
causing the monitor to fall on the patient.

The use of accessories, transducers, sensors and cables other than those specified
may result in increased emission and/or decreased immunity of the equipment and/or
system.

readings and respiratory rate can be affected by sensor application errors,
certain ambient environmental conditions, and certain patient conditions.

The FilterLine may ignite in the presence of oxygen if exposed to high heat.

When using a sampling line for intubated patients with a closed suction system, do
not place the airway adapter between the suction catheter and endotracheal tube.
This is to ensure that the airway adapter does not interfere with the functioning of the
suction catheter.

Do not cut or remove any part of the sample line. Cutting the sample line could lead
to erroneous readings.
