Paging and Call Alert
Conventional Two-Tone/DTMF/MDC1200 Paging [MUTE]
Conventional Analog Channels
The KNG can be programmed to receive two-tone, DTMF or MDC1200 pages on
conventional analog channels.
Receiving a page
Select an analog or mixed-mode receive channel.
Turn on “Voice Mute” from the programmed button or menu item.
When voice mute is activated the
icon is displayed.
The radio ignores all voice trafc until the proper tone sequence is received.
When a proper signal is received the radio will emit an alert tone and allow the audio
to pass.
If Auto Reset is programmed, the radio will return to the muted standby mode when
the time conditions have been met.
