Function #7: Start-up torque
Depending on the setting, the motor start-up begins with less or more torque. When the setting is higher
the motor draws more current from the connected battery pack and this must be correspondingly more
powerful.
Function #8: Behaviour of the boat controller at undervoltage
Ifundervoltageprotectionisswitchedon(seefunction#3)thentheboatcontrollercanbehavedifferently

Forsafetyreasonsyoushouldalwayssettheboatcontrollersothatthemotorperformanceis
reduced. This normally makes it possible to steer the model boat to the shore
Ifthemotorisprogrammedtoswitchoff,itcanbeverydifculttoretrievethemodelboat.
If the model boat is without power on the water, you should never put yourself in danger (by, for
example,swimmingtothemodelboat).Asaruleitissufcienttowaituntilthewindorthecurrent
moves the model boat to the shore.
It is possible that the model boat is out of range of the transmitter signal. The boat controller
then shuts down the motor automatically for reasons of safety. Reduce the distance between the
transmitter and the model boat and then check if the model boat responds.
Checking the functionality of the boat controller
Attention, Warning!
Place the model boat so that the ship’s screw does not come into contact with the ground or other
objects.Donotreachintothedrive,donotblockit!Dangerofinjury!
If the transmitter trim is shifted, then the motor can start up right after the boat controller is con-
nectedtothebatterypack!
Inanycaserstchecktheprogrammingintheneutralandfull-throttleposition.Thentheboat

The boat controller does not have a reverse driving function.
Information about operation

Troubleshooting
The boat controller does not work.
• Checkthebatterypackandthecablesbetweenthebatterypack,boatcontroller,receiverandmotor.
• Donotuseaseparatereceivercurrentsupply.TheboatcontrollerhasanintegratedBEC;theboatcont-
roller supplies the receiver (and the steering servo) with current.
The connected motor makes noise but does not otherwise function.
• Turnonthetransmitterorcheckitsfunctionality.
• Checkwhetherthereceiverisrecognisedbythetransmitter(forexampleshowsaconnection).
• Reprogramthefull-throttleandneutralsettingsoftheboatcontroller.
• Checkifthereversesettingforthetransmitterhasbeenunintentionallyactivated.

Care and Maintenance
Theboatcontrollerismaintenance-free:donotdisassemble.
Before cleaning, remove the battery pack completely from the boat controller. If you have used the model
boat, let the boat controller, the motor and the battery pack cool down completely.
Let the water run out of the cooling system before storing the model with the assembled boat controller.
After each run, make sure the model is not taking in water. Remove the water from the model.
Make sure all hose connections are tight and do not leak. Also make sure that the hoses are placed cleanly,
are secured and do not have bends.
