15. Troubleshooting
Even though the model and the remote control system were built to the latest available technology, there can still be
malfunctions or faults. This is why we would like to show you how to remove possible faults.
Problem Remedy
Transmitter doesn’t respond. • Check batteries or rechargeable batteries of transmitter.
• Check polarity of batteries or rechargeable batteries.
• Check function switch.
The transmitter turns off straight away of after
a short while.
• Check batteries or rechargeable batteries of transmitter or re-
place them.
The system has only a low range. • Check batteries or rechargeable batteries of transmitter and
model.
• Check receiver antenna for damages and electrical continuity.
• Try placing the receiver aerial differently in the model.
The model doesn’t respond. • Checkightbatteryorconnectorinthemodel.
• Check connectors on the receiver.
• Bind the receiver to the transmitter again.
The motor does not start. • Check safety buttons.
• Checkightbattery.
• Check motor or controller.
• Check cabling in the model for damage.
Servos hum or buzz. • Check the rudder linkages for smooth operation.
• Test the servo without linkage.
• Replace the servo.
A servo isn’t working. • Check the plug-in contacts at the receiver.
• Check the servo at another receiver output.
• Connect a different servo to the defective receiver output for
test purposes.
