Whenyingalwaysensureasufcientyingspeed.Bypullingtoomuchontheelevatorrudderjoystick,the
model will become too slow and tilt forwards over the tip or laterally over one wing.
Therefore,ensureatthebeginningasufcientsafetyheightinordertoallowyourselftogetusedtothesteering
attitudeofthemodel.Donottrytoytoofarinordertobeabletoclearlyevaluate,atanytime,theightattitude.
d) Trimming the Model
Ifinstraightightyourmodelshowsthetendencytodrifttoonedirection,correcttheneutralpositionofthecorre-
sponding rudder via the trimming.
Rudder:
Ifthemodeldriftstowardstheleft,pushthetrimlever(seegure2,pos.5)stepbysteptowardstherightuntilthe
modeliesinastraightline.Ifthemodeldriftstowardstheright,effectatrimcorrectiontowardstheleft.
Elevator:
Setthetrimleverfortheelevator(seegure2,pos.3)insuchawaythatatfullmotorspeedthemodelrisesinaat
angleandthatatreducedmotorspeeditiesataconstantaltitude.
Motor Function:
Thetrimleverforthemotorfunction(seegure2,pos.10)shouldalwaysbeinthemiddlepositionforthemotorspeed
to be controlled cleanly.
e) The First Landing
As with the start, the landing must always take place against the wind.
Reducethemotorperformanceandyinbigatcircles.Donotpulltoohardontheelevatorinordertobeableto
reducetheyingaltitudeselectively.Selectthelastcurvebeforetheapproachforalandingsothatincaseofanemer-
gencyyouwouldhavesufcientroomforlandingandsothatyouwouldnothavetoeffectconsiderablecorrectionsto
the course during the approach for a landing.
Whenthemodelisyingontheplannedlandingline,reducethemotorperformancefurtherandholdithorizontally
withtheelevator.Nowthemodelmustlooseheightfurtherandmustytowardstheplannedtouch-downpointatthe
end of the imaginary landing line.
Inthiscriticalyingphase,ensuresufcientyingspeedanddonotslowdownthemodelreducingthemotorspeed
too much or by pulling too hard at the elevator.
It is only shortly before the touch-down that you should stop the motor and land the model with fully drawn elevator.
Afterthelanding,youcanre-adjust,ifnecessary,thelinkagesfortherudderandtheelevatorsothatthemodelies
in a straight line and that the trim lever at the transmitter is in the center position again.
