d) Adjusting the shock absorbers

At the upper end of the shock absorber, the adjustment of the spring preload can be performed by inserting plastic
clips.
Theshockabsorbersatthevehicle‘sfrontandrearaxlecanbemountedontopoftheshockmount(B)andonthe
lower transversal arm (C) using various positions. However, for this purpose the manufacturer has already chosen an
optimal position, so any change should be carried out by professional drivers only.
Alwaysadjustequallytheshockabsorbersofanaxle(attheleftandrightwheelofthefrontaxleoroftherearaxle),
otherwise the driving behaviour will affect them adversely.
Professionaldriverscanalsousespringswithadifferentdegreeofhardnessorlltheshockabsorberwithadamper
oil of different viscosity. Also possible is the incorporation of aluminium shock absorbers, which are adjustable through
the thumb wheel.
As in a „real“ car, the vehicle‘s shock absorbers are (or the rubber seals in the shock absorbers) a wearing part. If the
oil from the shock absorbers drains out (e.g. transversal arm too oily, dripping trails), the seals or the shock absorbers
must be replaced.
