e) Installing the drive battery in the vehicle
Attention!
Thedrivebatterymaynotbeconnectedtothespeedcontroller.Runrstthetransmitter;seeChapter9.c)
and 9. d).
Important!
This vehicle is only suitable for a 2-cell LiPo drive battery (nominal voltage 7.4 V) or a 6-cell NiMH drive
battery (nominal voltage 7.2 V).
Usingvehiclebatterieswithmorecells posesariskofreduetooverheatingofthespeedcontroller;
moreover, the vehicle‘s drive is overloaded and can thereby get damaged (e.g. the differential). Loss of
guarantee/warranty!
Remove the bracket (A) of the battery holder, by pulling
out the two securing clips (B), and then pull the bracket
upwards.
Now insert the drive battery so that the connection cable of
the battery is points backwards. Otherwise, the connection
cable could impede the function of the steering.

f) Connecting the drive battery to the speed controller
First, turn off the speed controller. For this, the on/off
switch (see arrow in image on the right) has to be set to
the „OFF“ position.

Remember, set the trimming for the steering and driving
function respectively to the middle position.

Connect only now the drive battery to the speed controller. During this operation, pay attention to the correct polarity
(red cable = plus/+, black cable = minus/-). Do not apply any force when you connect the battery plug to the speed
controller‘s connection.
Make sure that the cable cannot get into the vehicle‘s drive or in the steering mechanism. If necessary, use cable
