10. Commissioning of the Model

remote control are enclosed.
However, you can use these operating instructions as a reference for placement and connection of those
components and install your own components there. Observe the safety notes and operating instructions
for the components you use for this under all circumstances.
a) Commissioning the Remote Control
Intheoperatinginstructionsfortheightmodel,onlythecontrolelementsareillustratedintheguresoftheremote
control. They therefore serve illustration purposes only. The precise function of the remote control is explained in the
separately enclosed operating instructions (on CD).
b) Inserting and Connecting the Flight Battery
Figure17showsthepositionoftheightbattery(1),theplugsystem(2),themagnetforthecabinholder(3),the
elevatorservo(4),therudderservo(5),theightcontroller(6)andthereceiver(7).
Afterremovingthecanopy,theightbatteryisinsertedinthefuselageaftertakingoffthecanopy.Theightbattery
cables must not touch the rudder horns of the elevator or rudder servos here.
SincethepositionoftheightbatteryintheRTFversioncanonlybechangedslightly,thecorrectcentreofgravity
must be set by adding trimming weights (also see next chapter).
