b) Connecting the drive battery
Switch on the transmitter and set the trimming of all control functions to the neutral position. Observe the information
and instructions in the operating instructions of the remote control system.
Place the boat on a suitable surface (e.g. on the included boat rack) so that the ship's propeller can move freely. Con-
nect the plug connections on the driving battery to the counter-piece of the speed controller.
The speed controller starts to initialise at once. When everything is just right, this is indicated with brief signal sounds.
The speed controller is now ready for operation. In this case, cell recognition is programmed. Also observe the notes
in separately enclosed instruction manual for Programming the speed controller.
If several signal sounds (e.g. 3x beeps) are reported acoustically, the speed controller is also ready for operation. In
this case, however, it is signalled that the speed controller is programmed for operation with a 3-cell LiPo battery. Also
observe the notes in chapter 11.
If successful initialisation is not reported acoustically (the speed controller signals only the number of
recognised cells and then beeps in a quick rhythm), the speed controller is not ready either. In this case,
carefully adjust the speed control trimming at the transmitter (see operating instructions of the remote
control system) until the sound signals are issued. You may also need to remove the drive battery for this.
It must be reconnected after approx. 10 seconds. When this measure does not lead to success, the neutral
position for the drive function must be programmed.
If the speed controller emits a regular signal (1x brief sound signal – pause – 1x brief sound signal –
pause ….), no correct control signal has been transmitter from the receiver to the speed controller. The re-
ceiver may not be bound to the transmitter or the transmitter may be off. Thus, the receiver cannot process
any regular reception signal.
